First you come to my house in Mo Cay district, Ben Tre province
If you're from Ho Chi Minh City, I'll show you the bus to go to my hometown Ben Tre. It takes you only 2 hours by bus from HCM City to Ben Tre. The bus ticket is just about $3.5 for one way.
I'll pick up you right at the Ben Tre bus station and bring you home by motorbike or taxi (up to you).
At my house, first relax and drink special pandan flavor coconut, and fresh fruit in my garden.
Then you can go fishing on small boat with my daddy (sometimes with my twins brother)
While you go fishing, my mom will prepare the most delicious traditional food for you such as savoury pancake, duck porridge, chicken salad with banana flower...
Enjoy traditional local music by my parents
At nights, my parents will organize a small music band to play local traditional music (Also known as "Don Ca Tai Tu". They play instrument and sing in the most natural and lovely way.
After that, I'll show you the night market in Ben Tre City where people sell lots of tropical fruits and street foods at a very cheap price.
Fun of harvesting fruits in the garden
We have banana, papaya, coconut, lemon, sweet potatoes, eggplants, plum... in the garden
Learning to make spring rolls
You can watch and join us preparing traditional local foods.

Great experience with ease and her Family She made an appointement with us At Saigon because it s was simpler for we took You together a bus for its village She speaks english very well and adapted herself to our simplistic vocabulary...😉 It is a discovery, a generous sharing of their life. Her parents are shy because they do not speak English but we manage to understand by gestures. Daysie in agreed to receive us during the têt holiday and with them we tasted all the dished wich they eat for this opportunity. We prepared springer rolls with Daysie and her sister the first one for Daysie 😂 They shared with us one evening among their Neighbors an exit on the forraine party, a breakfast typifies to the market, a stroll on the mekong, tasting of fruits of its garden. Everything was completed and we still thank Daysie and suite her close friends for thèse wonderful moments which they were kund enough to make us discover. 👌🙆👏🙏

I had a great time with Daisy, her husband, and her family. We left Saigon in the afternoon and once we arrived in Ben Tre, we explored the local markets and we ate some of her local favorites. We then went to her family's home in the rural area. What a big difference crossing a bridge makes! The area is beautiful and very peaceful. Coconut trees are everywhere (and very delicious:) ). Her family doesn't speak English, but they were welcoming and friendly. Over the evening and through the next afternoon, we ate a ton of food (she even helped me get some of my strange requests, e.g. Coconut rats), went on the boat and fishing with her father, listened to some local singing of her family, explored the local area, and just relaxed! I recommend this tour for those who want an alternative tour of the Mekong Delta; however, keep in mind that you will not see the floating market or other 'typical' sites. Thank you for everything Daisy!

I've had an awesome time with Daisy and her family, you can't experience the Mekong Delta in a more authentic way. Daisy is a great girl, and I hope to see her again somewhen in Germany, Vietnam or else.
