My name is Nghia. I was born in a mountain town in northern Vietnam, so know about the mountainous roads – dangerous but stunning, I understand the culture & life of various ethnic locals here. Via organizing tour at homestay, I not only would like to share the beauty of our country & Vietnamese people to all friends in the world, but also want to help to develop the community’s life. It’s my responsibility with social. Zonitrip is my small tour project about adventure trips in Vietnam. We provide private/personalized day trips and multi-day trips from Hanoi for small groups. These trips operate on a first come first served basis. Explore northern Vietnam, travel off the beaten path, meet the locals, eat delicious food, and meet other adventurers!

Cancellation
Once you have paid 30% non refundable deposit your trip is confirmed. -Any cancellation of a booking must be in writing and shall only be effective upon its acknowledged receipt by ZONITRIP -For cancellations made within 7 days and 48 hrs before the day of the service we reserve the right to retain 25% of the due amount. -For cancellations made within 48 hrs of the tour we reserve the right to retain the full fee. -No refunds are given in case of force majeure -No refunds are given if the client leaves the program after it has began for any reasons whatsoever or miss any scheduled sightseeing or visit or no showing up.

ITINERARY with many attractive activities

Day 1: Hanoi– Ha Giang city- Quan Ba (355km, around 7h30’) (B, L, D)

6:30am, Our guide will pick-up you from your hotel in Hanoi, start to go to Ha Giang city. We will arrive Nam Dam hamlet in Quan Ba – is 45km from Ha Giang and enjoy staying at homestay with the local family in their traditional house.

Nam Dam village is the inhabited by Dao ethnic people (long dress Dao group). The charming of village is peaceful, surrounded by karst mountains. The local still keep their traditional customs, habits & culture from ancient times. You can choose to stay at the homestay of Dao people or private house Dao Lodge..

Day 2: Quan Ba – Dong Van (85km, around 3hours) (B, L, D)

Wake up early to walk around the rice field and explore the life in Nam Dam. You will have chance to see the local traditional house made of compacted soil which protect people from the extreme weather in the high mountain. You are welcomed to visit the houses whose owners are very friendly and hospitable. As you walk in the village, you will have the opportunity to observe daily life of the Dao people.

Depending on the season of the year, if you want to learn about the local products, you can visit households that produce honey, corn or rice wine, or visit the tailoring and embroidering group in the village.

After the walk, you come back to your homestay for refresh and have lunch

Leaving Nam Dam village, our driver will transfer you to Dong Van.  Drive pass Phố Cáo, Sủng Là.  We will stop at these villages to visit H’mong families and interact with the locals.  It’s once again a very enjoyable ride today that you will see amazing mountain view of the Rock Plateau.  Also, stop and visit the in famous Vuong Palace, a H’mong family of high rank during French colonial rule – this palace attracts keen interest from architecturally minded visitors due to its mixed style of European and Chinese architecture.

You have a free night to walking, enjoying coffee and mountain asmostphere in Dong Van Old Quarter.

Day 3: Dong Van – Meo Vac – Du Gia (120km, around 4h30’) (B, L, D)

After breakfast, we leave to Dong Van drive to the peak of Ma Pi Leng which gives stunning views of the mountains and sweeping valleys. You will be disappointed as it is the gateway to the best road trip in Vietnam: the 22km connect Dong Van & Meo Vac.  The road has been cut into the side of cliff face and far below are the distant water of Nho Que river and towering above, the rock face of this mighty gorge.

If it’s Sunday, you can have chance to enjoy the unique and special local Market in Meo Vac, it only happen in sunday and be called SUNDAY MARKET. There are very colorful and various culture of ethnic minorities, it will be special experience for you.

Leave Meo Vac, we continue go to Du Gia – new places for adventure. The route is so amazing with the huge rock mountain and winding pass.It’s the off the beaten path, but the scenery is very beautiful. Nested in a valley between many cliffs, road to Du Gia will offer you the perfect getaway for who looking for a new experience. We could visit and play with local children or school beside the route, the ethnic children in here is very friendly and lovely.

We will stay at homestay DU Gia Backpacker, the host is very hospitable & you can enjoy as your home.

Day 4: Du Gia – Ha Giang (72km, 3hrs)

Leave Du Gia back to Ha Giang city, arrive  Thon Tha Village– Thon Tha is a peaceful village, 5km from Ha Giang city. 100% of population here is the Tay ethnic people who always live in a stilt-house thatched roof. The village is surrounded by terraced rice paddies and Tay Con Linh mountain.

We can spend this afternoon for trekking in Thon Tha – through the amazing rice fields and the mountains to discover the wonderful flora and fauna of Vietnam. Far away from the crowds and experience a homestay in a traditional Vietnamese Tay home. Learn and participate the Ha Giang village life and truly feel the warmth and hospitality of these incredible nice people.

Chances to meet and communicate with locals working in the fields are plentiful. Go trekking for 4 hours to Lùng Vai village of the Coin Dao people and then break for a lunch en route at a Dao family and enjoy relaxing time here. The Dao family will warmly welcome you to their traditional home where they will share their cultures to others. After that, continue to go trekking to Ha Thanh village where it is famous for its waterfall. Overnight in Tay homestay in Thon Tha village.

Day 5: Ha Giang– Hanoi (300km, around 6hrs)

After breakfast, we leave Ha Giang around 8am to Hanoi.  We expect to arrive Ha Noi around 6:00pm.

Drop you off at your hotel & say good bye our guide. Tour the end./.

Explore the stunning beauty of DONG VAN KARST PLATEAU GEOPARK

 one of the most visited attraction in the province, the Dong Van Karst Plateau – one of UNESCO Global Network of National Geoparks. It is also the first recognized geopark in Vietnam. Dong Van town has a great Sunday market and make a good base for day treks around the nearby minority villages. It also features an interesting old quarter, including a beautifully restored 100-year-old trader’s house that now the funky Café Pho Co.
