Day 1: ARRIVAL HANOI VIETNAM

XIN CHAO! Welcome to Hanoi – the capital of Vietnam!

Upon arrival, you will be warmly welcomed by our driver at the airport and will transfer to the city centre for hotel check-in. Balance of the day is free at leisure. Overnight in Hanoi.

Optional: Food tour on foot or Food tour by motorbike 


Day 2: HANOI CITY TOUR (L) SIC TOUR

Our guide and driver will pick you up from your hotel. Let’s start our city tour with a visit to the Complex of Ho Chi Minh (Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, his house-on- stilts and fish pond, and the One-Pillar Pagoda). Proceed to Temple of Literature, the first university of Vietnam, its gardens and well-preserved architecture offer a relaxing glimpse into Vietnam’s past. You will have 1 hour for lunch at your own account. In the afternoon, drive northwest toward Ethnology Museum, where we can learn much about the culture and traditions of 54 ethnic groups living in Vietnam, amongst whom so many groups are skillful in making sophisticated handicrafts. Then back to the Old Quarter and Hoan Kiem Lake (the “Sword” Lake), stop to visit Ngoc Son Temple. For the last part of the tour we stroll around the area and mingle with locals as they go about their hectic lives. Back to your hotel.


Day 3: HANOI – HALONG BAY – OVERNIGHT ON CRUISE (B/L/D) SIC TOUR

From Hanoi, at 8AM, head East for more than 3 hours to Halong Bay, the pride of the Gulf of Tonkin, a Natural World Heritage as designated by UNESCO in 1994. The road will pass by the Red River delta with green paddy fields and rural villages, where hard-work farmers are busy with their farming jobs, ploughing buffaloes or planting seedling. Upon arrival in Halong, we’ll take a big boat to cruise the Bay to discover the magnificent beauty of this “Descending-dragon” bay, created by thousands odd-shaped limestone rocks and karst grottoes. After a lunch of fresh seafood on board, we can visit the Surprising Grotto, stop for swimming or kayaking, passing floating villages and approach islets to enjoy their beauty in close distance. Back to the boat for dinner late afternoon. Evening attend activities on the boat or relax at your own leisure. Overnight on the boat near Titov Beach. 

(Please note the program may be little varied upon the cruise you choose. Only Vietnamese & International, vegetarian food available on the boat.)


Day 4: HALONG BAY – HANOI (B/L)

After breakfast, visit by boat to Luon Cave, a ring-shaped pool inside an island in Halong with absolutely tranquil landscape and emerald water. Back to the Wharf of Halong passing the most densely area with many islands that have been named like the Cock-Fighting Rock, Sail Island, Incense burner rock or Sea Dog Rock. Arrive at Halong Wharf around 11.00. Return to Hanoi around 4PM and check-in hotel. Overnight in Hanoi. 


Day 5: HANOI – NINH BINH – HOA LU – TAM COC – PHONG NHA (L) SIC TOUR

A 90km drive south of Hanoi will lead you to Ninh Binh, the site of the one capital city of ancient Vietnam before Hanoi took its leading role in 11th century. The area is featured by lots of well-known sceneries, which include Tam Coc Caves and Hoa Lu ancient capital with the old temples dedicated to King Dinh & King Le reigned in 10th century. The visit in Ninh Binh starts by a boat trip in Tam Coc where spectacular limestone karsts jut out from the green paddy fields reminding about Guilin (China) and Halong Bay of Vietnam, which gives this scenery the name “Halong-bay-on-land”. Further discovery in Ninh Binh will be continued in the site that used to be the kings’ palace in 10th century and now famous for the wooden relieves of the shady Dinh and Le temples. You are free time until the departure bus to Phong Nha. Overnight on sleeping bus. 

Day 6: PHONG NHA - PARADISE CAVE – DARK CAVE (L) SIC TOUR

Arrival in Phong Nha early morning. Take a short rest. Today you visit Paradise Cave and Dark Cave located in the most well – preserved remote and mountainous region of Central Vietnam.

You will explore Paradise Cave – the longest dry cave in Asia (located in Phong Nha – Ke Bang National Park’s core zone). Have lunch at local restaurant. Afternoon visit Dark Cave was the true experience, kayaking over the river to get there, walking through the dark with only the head touch on your mining helmet, having mud fight in the mud baths deep in the cave and then washing clean with a swim in the lake inside the cave. (Activities: muddy bath, ziplining, swimming, kayaking). Back to you hotel. Overnight in Phong Nha. 


Day 7: PHONG NHA – DONG HOI AIRPORT – FLY TO HANOI/SAIGON

If your flight is in the late afternoon or evening, you will have a half day more for the sightseeing and shopping before the departure till check out time and transfer to the airport for the onward flight.

    Thầy Pagoda locates at the foot of Sài Sơn mountain, southwest of Hanoi. The pagoda is 20 kilometers far from the center of city, yet you can get there by motorbike in approximately 40 minutes. Visting Thầy pagoda, you will be enlightened by the beliefs of Vietnamese,people worship Buddha, God, Mother Goddess and Saint.
