Let's get munching!

There are several great Vietnamese dishes to try on top of the famous Pho and Banh Mi. Similar to most buzzing cities around the world, the best tasting dishes are usually found in the most populated city. So we are blessed to have great Northern, Midland dishes even in the heart of Saigon. We prefer to show you local eateries where taste is authentic and the price is very affordable.

Historic Temple

Built by a group of immigrants in the 1760's, Bà Thiên Hậu is one of Saigon's oldest temple. It holds great religious significance for the area’s Chinese population. Thiên Hậu Temple contains many traditional Chinese elements in both its exterior and interior. Join us to learn more about this Sea Goddess's legend.

Saigon's Biggest Market

The market with many names, Binh Tay Market aka Chợ Lớn aka Chợ Lớn Mới, is Saigon's biggest market and was built back in 1930. This is more of an wholesalers where you can find all sorts of goods from sweets to leather belts, to traditional Ao Dai (Vietnamese dress) and even Coffee beans.

The Bitter Sweet Life

Most locals have a coffee ritual -  a cup of Vietnamese iced coffee (cà phê đá) with the optional creamy condensed milk to sweeten it up. Coffee is available everywhere, but it's rare to find a place where they roast their own coffee beans the traditional way since the 1950's. Don't worry, we have the contacts :)

We can sit back and take a sip of freshly roasted and grounded coffee while watching how it is done.

Fight The Heat

You might wonder how we cope with such blazing heat, well aside from the usual ice-tea we have desserts that can cool us from within. This coconut jelly-like dessert is amazing, I've recommended it to everyone visiting because it's so refreshing and tasty! The menu also has Pumpkin Flan, Pumpkin Jelly and the original Flan with a splash of coffee.
