Detailed Plan:


  • Start very early in the morning from Bangalore and reach Hampi(352Km/ ~6.5hrs).

  • Check-in at the hotel and start to the first point Virupaksha temple.This is one of the historical monument and a designated UNESCO World Heritage site. Look at the architecture of those ancient times.  

  • Lotus Mahal, as the name says, this architecture can be identified by its lotus like structure. It used to be a recreation place for the Queen.

  • Next is the Elephant stable. It was constructed in Indo-Islamic style and used to be the stable for royal elephants in Vijayanagar empire.

  • Then visit the Octagonal bath.It is an octagon shaped bathing area which was used by Royal men.

  • Stone Chariot has many giant granite blocks hidden in the carvings but appear as a full view outside.Check out for the paintings on the carvings of the chariot. Let your camera capture few pictures .

  • Be ready to climb up 600 steps and have a beautiful view of sunset.

  • Overnight stay at hotel.

  • After breakfast proceed to Vijaya Vittala temple which has ruins of creative architecture like moving stone chariot and musical pillars.

  • Enjoy the view of monolithic Ganesha statue located on the southern foothill of Hemakuta hill.

  • Queens bath- Enjoy the ruins of the magnificent bath chamber used by king and his wives with an outdoor pool.

  • Royal Enclosure Hampi is the remnants of the royal building where the king of Vijayanagara empire once lived.

  • Remember Hampi on the way back to your home!!
