I currently working for an prestigious architectural firm, and I generate contents, write press release for the buildings. Many sky scrapers and landmarks in New York City is my firms projects: Time square Ticket booth, Radio City, St. Patrick Cathedral, New York Public Library and the World Trade Center. I have been writing about these buildings, the history, the background, and the design approaches... and now I would like to take people to see them! Flat Iron Building

"One of the world's most iconic skyscrapers, and a quintessential symbol of New York City." Originally the Fuller Building, is a triangular 22-story steel-framed landmark.  It was designed by Chicago architect Daniel Turnham with Beaux-Arts style. The unique shape and iconic structure has attracted numerous artists and tourists. It is a must see for an architectural tour in NYC.

Grand Central

Did you know that Grand Central's built was because of the electronic trains revolution? Did you know that the guy who built it was not an architect but a engineer? 

The building was almost removed for a new government office building, however saved by the first lady Jacqueline Kennedy. In 1998, the grand central was restored. The sunlight pouring through steel-ribbed skylights, and finally brightened the decaying and stiff building. 

St. Patrick Cathedral

Did you know that when the pope came to NYC, this is the only place he actually visited? And because of this visit, St. Patrick Cathedral renovation team had been working days and nights to bring out the most historical and original look since it was first built. Now it is the best time to see one of the oldest church in NYC with its ORIGINAL look! St. Patrick Cathedral also had a great connection with the Frenchs and Napoleon. All the stories are hid behind the marble wall of this 140 year old building. 

World Trade Center Towers and Memorial

Since the 9/11 event, this site has gathered the best architectures to rebuild. The site is consisted with four towers, the 911 memorial site, the 911 memorial museum and the transportation hub. Each building was designed with diverse architect philosophy, but they also achieve a unified look. This site is the best example of high level collaboration among the best modern architects. It is a must see! 

Park Ave. Armory

Dedicated in 1880, the Park Avenue Armory served as home to the Seventh New York Militia Regiment. The Armory is reknown for its highly detailed interior rooms, furnished in Gilded-Age sumptuousness. Its ornamental woodwork, marble and stained glass were designed by the leading interior decorators and furniture makers of the American Aesthetic Movement: Louis Comfort Tiffany, Stanford White, Pottier & Stymus and the Herter Brothers. It has been called "the single most important collection of 19th century interiors to survive intact in one building" by the New York City Landmarks Preservation Commission. 

Time Square TKTS Booth, Seven Time Square Building, Five Time Square Building

While people enjoy just seeing all the neon shining in the Time Square, it might be interesting to learn a couple architect abject in there. The TKTS Booth, a combination of structural integrity and innovative design of with  glass technology and under neath lighting strategy. Why is the TKTS Booth designed this way? How did the architect come up with the idea? 

Central Synagogue

Completed in 1872 this Henry Fernbach building was completely reconstructed after a devastating fire in 1998. The renovation evolved the best original look of the Central Synagogue again. It is an another must see as NYC landmark. 

Guastavino’s Restaurant at Bridgemarket

Located beneath the 59th Street Bridge this landmark structure was once an historic open air market. Embroiled for years in political debate, the design team was tasked with adaptively reusing the space as a restaurant that responded to the concerns of the neighboring community, the landmark commission, and the owner.
