Flavia Massa

I'm a traveller, who loves to get to the roots of each city I visit. That's why I decided to show the world the roots of my city, in regards of music and culture. There is a new scene in Rio de Janeiro, a cultural revolution happening on the streets every day, and I participate directly playing the Trombone. I have showed it to a few friends from abroad who came to visit me and they simply loved. Among the places I go every day are: Carnival Blocos rehersals on several squares, favelas, parks with amazing views, and famous streets, Brazilian music parties, and cultural events involving art, music, dance, theatre, and so. And the best part is that everything is for free, and attended by 98% Brazilians.

Culture on the streets

You'll be in the middle of what I consider a trully cultural revolution happening in Rio: young musicians that met playing on the Carnival are together creating new bands and events everyday to occupy the public spaces with art, music, dance, theatre, and so. And the best part is that everything is for free, and attended by 98% Brazilians. If you are a musician, or if you enjoy everything related to atistic expression, I'm sure you'll enjoy this trip to my world.

Carnival Rehersals

Forget the Brazilian Carnival you saw on the TV. You'll experience a brand new thing on the streets, and for free. Far away from the fancy costumes and expensive VIP tickets to Marquês de Sapucaí, there is a brand new trend: young people taking their instruments and getting together without earning any money. What could worth more to those musicians than seeing happy people joining them with funny costumes and a big smile on their faces?I can get you to the Rehersals of the best Blocos around, those that don't get too crowded and dangerous.

Parties on the streets

There is another new trend in Brazil: to party on the street!! What could be better in such a warm and beautiful city? You'll experience Forró parties, Sambas, and Brazilian regional music. Again, everything is for FREE.
