Day 2: Yangon City tour (B)

Yangon city is a must-see city for tourists who want to see a different Asia. It’s a largest city in Myanmar with the combination between nature and cultures and communities. This city was found in 1755 by King Alaungpaya and Yangon means “End of Strife”.
After breakfast, we visit to the Lawka Chanthar Arbayar Laba Muni Buddha Image (Kyauktawgyi) where we can see the Marble Buddha statue with 600 tones weight. Later, we visit Yangon’s city center featuring Sule Pagoda at city center and colonial building and walk around the Mahabandoola Park to see the colonial courthouse and the city hall.

In the afternoon, we will explore Bogyoke Aung San (Scott) Market and visit the World famous Shwedagon Pagoda where we will take lift to the top of the hill, walk around the pagoda and see how the local people praise. The main gold-plated dome is topped by a stupa containing over 7,000 diamonds, rubies, topaz and sapphires, the whole giddy concoction offset by a massive emerald positioned to reflect the last rays of the setting sun. Overnight in Yangon.

Day 3: Yangon – Morning fly to Bagan (B)

Bagan is a city where visitors can visit all year around. With more than 2,000 Pagodas & Temples dating back more than 1500 years of history, Bagan is one of the most fascinating places for visitors when travelling this country. This is also an ideal place for beautiful local Art, such as Lacquer ware, bamboo works & wonderful local made cloth.
We will have our take-away breakfast today then transfer to the airport for our short domestic flight (1 hour 10 minutes) to Bagan. Welcome up on arrival in Bagan, we then start explore Bagan, land of stupa and Buddha statues.

Firstly, we will conquer a stupa by climbing up to the top to get the panorama of the area. From here, we will see the jungle of brown, golden and white stupas around in the middle of trees, pieces of peanut, bean, sesame farms… After that, we discover some most famous, beautiful pagodas such as Ananda Temple, Htilomin lo Temple, Gubyaukgyi Temple, Thabinnyu Temple, Dhammayangyi Temple. We also stop at Traditional Lacquer ware Industry, one of Myanmar’s best-known handicrafts. In the end of the day, we will enjoy sunset over the site from the upper terrace of Shwesandaw Pagoda. Overnight in Bagan.

Back to Old Bagan, we take one hour sunset on the horse cart. The horse cart driver will take us to the small path that other vehicles can’t come in. We seem to come from the fairy tale or legend story… Overnight in Bagan.

Day 4: Bagan – Mt Popa – Local Village – Horse Cart for Sunset (B)

This morning, we will visit the local market in Nyaung U Market to see the products from region. After that, we travel to Mt Popa, where is about more than one hour driving from Bagan. On the way, we will stop at a workshop where the farmers here will show tourist how to pick up palm fruit, how to make candy, wine… from palm. It’s so lovely to walk around the leave and bamboo tree.

Mt Popa is located in the Popa mountain which is a volcanic plug rising straight up out of a plain, and with the temple on top is a spectacular sight. There are hundreds of monkey that fed up by local people. They will follow tourists if they see the food therefore, everyone should watch out for monkeys here.
On the way back to Bagan, we will stop at a village to explore the daily life of a village without electricity. The villagers use water from the rain and from the mountain. They take water from the public water station in the gate of the village then carry home by cow cart. We can stop at any family, chat to local people and we will stop at a local primary school to contact to the children here.


Day 5: Bagan – Fly to Yangon – Departure (B)

Today we take a short flight back to Yangon where we connect to our departure flight. Trip ends
