Hi everyone, I’m Jordan! I was born and raised in France. I started cooking when I was 10 to satisfy my own curiosity and also to help my parents. Ever since, my passion have been cooking. Whenever I visit a foreign country, I always drop by local supermarkets or grocery stores to experience the local food culture. I found it fun to discover people from their daily food. At the age of 25 I discovered the Japanese cuisine and ever since I have been practicing it with my wife Rieko, to get the right texture and flavour, so important in Japanese food. I have noticed that Japanese food is always perceived by foreigners as very technical and using ingredients that cannot be found easily. So what a better occasion to learn about it during a trip to Japan! That’s why I have started my cooking experience for visitors to Japan, to demonstrate how simple and quick, it is to cook Japanese food for everyday occasions and with a minimum of ingredients. I love meeting people from around the world, sharing time together and of course the joy of cooking. I am looking forward to welcoming you to Nippon Kitchen in Nagoya to discover the real taste of Japan!
