I am currently a full time Travel & Tourism Lecturer with a strong background in hospitality and active tourism, where there is an emphasis on Scotland’s ‘Niche Markets’ and small to medium sized providers of the tourism product. Previously, I was employed as a Prince’s Trust Team Programme Team Leader, where I was able to develop and deliver a 12 week personal development programme to help disengaged young adults achieve their potential and to re-engage by participating in adventure education. In addition to my full time role at the college, I also engaged in occasional weekend work at Climbzone, where I got to pass on my expertise and passion for climbing. I have travelled to the USA in my early 20s, where I obtained most of my hospitality experience working as a Grill chef in Maryland and tending bar at weddings. Whilst in the USA I bought a wee geo chevy and drove through as many states as I could before heading up the west coast to Seattle.
