I have a special interest in the living history of the place and its people, as well as the majestic splendour and natural beauty of the Peninsular - its mountains, beaches, vegetation and 100s of other attractions. I love people, including the very young and the very old, and am able to tailor tours to suit guest needs. The pace is reasonable and suitable for anyone able to walk.

In one day we visit two oceans, dozens of beaches, spectacular scenic drives and world famous tourist 'musts', all the time with an informative, attentive and ever-willing guide - namely me. You will learn a little of everything, about the flora, fauna, ocean-life, history, culture and people.

The tour focuses on the rich yet not well known history of the peoples of 'mixed race' of Cape Town and visits major well-known sites as well as sites that give insight into this 'other' history - a local, Black (brown, coloured) history. It also passes through the city as experienced by the 'working class'. We see elements of what some call a divided city, a gritty and real city, a slowly Africanising city. A different tour that is safe, informative and pleasant. The tour is a walking one and depending on your energy, can be between 2 - 6 hours, tailor-made to suit the guests. It can include a coffee on the go at any of the many world-class barista establishments and even a light meal at any of the street-food establishments as the city is awash with sophisticated eateries serving haute cuisine close to establishments dishing out artery clogging fries and grills.
