Treacher's Hill (locally known as Bukit Kutu) is one of the most common hiking spot for the locals. Some even called it as Treacher's Mountain because of the difficulty level, so be aware it may be challenging and adventurous to reach the peak for some people. However, it is more of 2-3 hours trekking rather than climbing as in most mountains. So rest assured that you can reach the peak within one day (in good weather). You can expect to meet locals, nature, adventure, river crossing, historical traces, admirable views, and sense of vertigo all in one day hiking triip! *Please bring along some food, as we might need to have lunch before going down.
The largest ethnic group in Malaysia is the Malay. Labu Kubong is a hometown, where the villagers are still practising Malay tradition, maintaining the old lifestyle of the Malays. It is completely different from the Malay lifestyle in the city. You can see how different their life is, as the village is free from urbanisation. This is one of the things I wanna share, with all the pros and cons. Even if you're a Malaysians, this might be quite an interesting experience for you.
